Remembering D-Day

Jun 06 2016

As we observe the 72nd anniversary of D-Day, we remember the#greatest generation.  On June 6, 1944 more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of the French coastline to begin the defeat of  Germany.  General Eisenhower, the leader of all Allied forces, called the operation a crusade in which, "we will accept nothing less than full victory."  Our greatest generation made sure that we achieved total victory that day, and led the fight across Europe, to ultimately defeat Adolf Hitler.  More than 9,000 Allied troops were killed or wounded, and 4 brave Americans received the Medal of Honor on that fateful day.  @NationalD-DayMemorial
