Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Midland, made it official this morning that he will be seeking re-election to represent the 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Before a roomful of supporters at Shirlene’s Cuisine, including his wife, Amy, and parents, Bob and Laura, Moolenaar made the announcement that he will ask voters to send him back to Washington for a second term.

“I am running for re-election to fight for you and to hold government accountable to the people,” Moolenaar stated. “My name will be on the ballot this year and so will our hopes for America’s future.”?Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette introduced his fellow Dow High graduate as a “superb congressman, respected in the halls of Congress.”
